Today we are going to review the topics because on Wednesday we will do a little exam.

Hoy vamos a repasar porque el miércoles tendréis un pequeño examen sobre los temas que hemos visto en esta unidad.

Si alguien no ha hecho las actividades de la semana pasada que las haga antes de repasar para que el examen sea más sencillo.

El miércoles, os pondremos el examen a las 9 de la mañana y tendréis hasta las 10 de la noche de ese mismo día para hacerlo. Si alguien no puede hacerlo en ese tiempo que nos mande un email y nos lo diga. 

Lo que tenéis que repasar es lo siguiente:

      1.     Descripción física de animales mitológicos.

      2.     Adjetivos comparativos.

      To form comparative adjectives: 

·        Add ‘er’ or ‘r’ onto the end.  small: smaller, nice: nicer  

Ex: a horse is smaller than a dragon.

·        Doubling letters like in big: bigger BIG (consonant-vowel-consonant). Ex: a troll is bigger than a house.

·        Add “more” when adjectives have 3 or more syllables: beautiful: more beautiful (there are some adjectives with 2 syllables that also add more).

Ex: Unicorns are more beautiful than horses.

·        Irregular comparatives: good: better. Bad: worse

        3.     Adjetivos superlativos

        To form superlative adjectives:

·       Add ‘st’ or  ‘est’ onto the end. Old: oldest / Nice: nicest

Ex: Michael is the oldest boy at the party.

·       Doubling letters like in big: biggest  BIG (consonant-vowel-consonant).

Ex: Madrid is the biggest city in Spain.

·       Add ‘most’ when adjectives have 3 or more syllables: beautiful: most beautiful. (There are some adejectives with 2 syllables that also add most).

Ex: Paris is the most beautiful city in the world.

·       Irregular superlatives: good: best / bad: worst

        4.     Sufijos: transformar adjetivos en adverbios –ly

·       Adverbs modify the verb (action) for example: the leopard walked slowly. 

·       Many adjectives can turn into adverbs by adding the suffix -ly:slow-slowly, quick-quickly

·       Adjective: before a noum

·       Adverb: after a verb

·       Irregular adverbs: good/well
