We can
make more complicated structures by comparing one thing or animal with another.
To
form comparative adjectives:
1.
Add ‘er’ or ‘r’ onto the end.
small: smaller, nice: nicer
Ex: a horse is smaller than a dragon.
2. Doubling
letters like in big: bigger BIG (consonant-vowel-consonant). Ex: a troll is
bigger than a house.
3. Add “more” when adjectives
have 3 or more syllables: beautiful: more beautiful (there are some adjectives
with 2 syllables that also add more).
Ex: Unicorns
are more beautiful than horses.

comparatives: good: better. Bad: worse
